We declutter before we pack. Every box you don't pack is one you don't move, unpack, or find a home for. It's the cheapest hour of the whole project.

We label for the unpack, not the pack. Boxes get marked by destination room and contents, so the other end is orderly instead of archaeological.

We set up systems as we unpack. Not just putting things somewhere — putting them where they belong, so you're not reorganizing in three months.

We take the boxes. Broken down and gone.
